Introduction to Alpaca 2012. The World Alpaca Conference

Well it's gettting busier here than the United Nations. Shirley, for her sins, is on the organising commitee for the World Alpaca Conference 2012 and there are e-mails coming in from all parts of Europe and beyond as alpaca owners across the globe start organising  to visit.

The Conference will be held at Keble College Oxford on the 11th 12th and 13th of April 2012 and the word is out that its going to be an alpaca event not to be misssed, with a host of speakers and subsidiary workshops tailored for all levels of alpaca aspiration. The Conference is fully residential and accomodation and meals will be provided by Keble College Oxford. So visitors form overseas and us poor souls who never went can get to taste the magic of the hallowed halls of learning- sadly no owls.

There's the Alpaca 2012 Fleece show leading up to the conference and countries have been invited to send in their best to find the best alpaca fleece in the world to win the Alapca 2012 Golden Fleece Award.

There is Fashion show running throughout the conference in which designers from our top design colleges have been sponsored by UK Alpaca breeders to come up with something stunning in a. There is a gala dinner hosted in the great dining hall at Keble in which we will all have to get bibbed and tucked and pretend we are important for the evening.
