A Fantastic Day at the Kenilworth Show for Toft Alpacas
Well can you belive it ? In the Kenilworth Alpaca Halter Show 2011 we won shedloads of prizes. Only one of our 11 entries didn't get a rosette Shirley and Linda never seemed to be out of the front line. Barrabinda Flinders Star took the Progeny Shield and Toft Jaina came third. Toft Rastaban took Huacaya Fawn Male Champion and Reserve Champion. Toft Ison Won Best Black Male, Toft Dubhe won Best Brown Male and the Suris took a first and second.in their class It was a great day for Toft Alpacas.
And it wasn't just us. Many of our clients took rosetttes and championships with their entries too. It seemed that all our stud males had excelled themselves with their offspring and Toft coloured alpaca genetics were all the rage.
The Judge was Jay Holland and we also say a heartfelt thanks to Harry Edwards from Shropshire who as alwasy did a fantastic job at orgnanising the event and maintaining a jolly atmosphere running throughout.
And we of course had the best Alpaca Show ever- our boys did us proud. We didn't even enter Nashira who had taken Junior Female Champion at the National Show. We were so strong in depth and colour across several of our males that it bodes very well for the future of Toft Alpacas. We even got a smile in public from our Herdswoman Linda and that doesn't happen very often.
